Progress on payments and commencement of 2019 application process.

1. PROGRESS MADE IN 2018 PAYMENTS

Payment to continuing students
Let me use this opportunity to inform students on the progress made on 2018 payments.

Hostel students – to date the N$17,000 promised to each boarding student (Unam, NUST and IUM) has been paid save where an invoices have not been provided.

Contracting and Payment of 2018 new intake

So far, 6 501 students out 10 482 new intake (exclusive of VTC second intake) have signed contracts. However, NSFAF only received invoices in favour of 4 879 students out the sum that has signed contracts. The latter group will equally start receiving payments from Friday, 21 September 2018. – on top of the N$ 3, 000 paid per each non-boarding student in August 2018, another N$ 4, 000 per recipient will be paid as from Friday, 21 September 2018.

We therefore would like to use this opportunity to urge 2018 beneficiaries who have not yet signed contracts to come forth and sign contract with NSFAF, before 24 September 2018, to avoid delay in processing of payments.

2. 2019 ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS

Commencement of 2019 Application Process

As communicated earlier, we are committed to improving and shortening the awarding process. In this regard, 2019-application process will commence in October 2018 as per details below:

  • Undergraduates (both local and International):15 October – 30 November 2018,
  • Postgraduate (Local and International): 3 December 2018 – 4 January 2019
  • Vocational Training Centres (VTCs): 15 February 2019 to 15 March 2019

Potential applicants are urged to familiarize themselves with NSFAF funding criteria as well as guidelines on how to apply online by visiting NSFAF website (www.nsfaf.fund) as from 15 October 2018. Applicants are hereby encouraged to have all their required documents at hand during the application period.
